Off to the slopes of Mayrhofen – pure action on a skiing holiday with your children
If you’re spending your family winter vacation in Tyrol, you should head for the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region. Because on the slopes around Mayrhofen, there’s skiing fun for the whole family. MOUNTOPOLIS is an exciting adventure world where skiing enthusiasts of all ages get their money’s worth. On Mount Ahorn, there are slopes with different levels of difficulty (blue, red, black). Children have a lot of fun with the mascot AlbertAdler, who encourages them as they tackle the child-friendly obstacles on slope 4A.
There is also plenty to experience on the other side of the valley on Mount Penken. Experienced action fans can chase down the steep Harakiri slope with a 78 per cent gradient, leisurely skiers can ski down the easy blue slopes and kids can enjoy themselves on the practice hill in Pepi’s Kinderland. The FunRides are always an ultimate highlight on a skiing holiday with children! The FunRide on Mount Ahorn is perfect for children with its moderate slope gradient, where even beginners can have lots of fun. Pure pleasure awaits young and old on the FunRide Gerent on Mount Penken, which leads into a spiral at the end of the run. If your children are ready for action, head to the PenkenPark: from simple boxes to 4-metre-high jumps, it’s time to blow off steam!
For a little break from snowboarding and skiing, we recommend visiting the longest toboggan run in the Zillertal – the Gerlosstein toboggan run in the Zillertal Arena, which is even illuminated at night. There are also five other toboggan runs here. Or if you’re already on Mount Ahorn, hire a PistenBock and challenge your kids to a race on the toboggan run.
Ski schools in Mayrhofen – perfect for a skiing holiday with children
Professional ski schools in the Mayrhofen skiing areas offer excellent supervision for children. At the Mayrhofen 3000 children’s ski school on Mount Ahorn, winter sports beginners from the age of 5 can take their first steps on skis and snowboards under the guidance of experienced ski instructors – here is a great practice area with a magic carpet! From 9 am to 3.30 pm, your children are taken care of in the ski school, and you can enjoy a few runs on the nearby slopes in the meantime.
